.
Criteria and selectionWe support projects and schemes which are keen on critical social justice, emancipatory strategies and stand out for its sociopolitical relevance and commitment.
Our intention is to support projects that are interdisciplinary, projects that are empowering, projects that are made by communities for communities.
Which ones are open for students and non- students in order to connect and promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences, or challenge knowledge and discourses, through a variety of means and media, that expand the usual horizons of learning.
We will especially support people without an academic background, who are seeking for ways to access the University of Arts, as well as those who are socially disadvantaged and affected by racism and classism.
.
.
Each application should contain:– short description of the project (1/2 – 1 page)
– list of project participants
– clear budget plan/breakdown including specific expenses
– notice of any other funding sources assigned
.
.
Important info! Each selected project can be funded up to a maximum of 400€. Please note that we can only refund receipts with a minimum value of 50€. We will not be able to refund the money if we receive multiple receipts for small amounts such as 10 or 30 €.

Online-Sit-In for Financial Aid Solidarity!
Online-Sit-In for Financial Aid Solidarity!
Link to FB: https://www.facebook.com/events/1069264003456058/
This is an online sit-in for all people who are falling though the gaps of current funding platforms due to COVID 19 and to activate and draw attention to the situation.
Join us at 17h on Thursday 23nd of April to share information and show solidarity for financial aid for everyone, including Non-EU citizens(not selbstständige), Non-EU students, recent immigrants, and undocumented migrants & workers. Unfortunately there are racist and patriarchal structures at play determining as to who, what and how people are to recieve funding.
Current governance and funding policies are leaving many without the basic foundations for living such as housing, money for food, rent and bills, including many refugees in camps across Europe who are living without basic running water, and have no ability to take up the public health-care measures.
///////Plan of Action:
17h00: We will meet via Interflugs TV stream: https://www.twitch.tv/interflugs
–> Here we will share a link there of the rise-up pad for those of your to share your experiences and know further actions.
—–>Then, we will together address members of Bundestag through email to inform them of the situation and demand for financial aid in solitary with all those living beyond the systems of funding policies.
**** we will confirm plan of action the day of the sit-in./////THANKS TO MOLLY DOGSON FOR VISUAL ILLUSTRATION ♥

Dear friends and students,
We will be closing all of our services and office effective today due to the increased needs for precautions and responsibilities to stop increased infections of COVID -19 during this global health crisis.
If anyone has planned to borrow equipment from the Equipment Rental, utilize the editing/or sounds studio or utilize the Freie Klasse rooms, we are not able to offer these services right now.
We cannot confirm when they will reopen as we are responding to the changing situation. If anyone currently has equipment on loan from the Interflugs Ausleihe we will be in touch via telephone this weekend to arrange equipment return.
We are sorry for the disruption to people’s work process but it is extremely important now to prioritize health and safety and act responsibly together.

Public Statement about the released budget for self-governed student projects and the autonomy of Interflugs:
We are happy to announce the new President of UdK, Norbert Palz, is officially releasing the frozenbudget for autonomous, self-governed student Initiatives and Projects and was eager to see Interflugsand other student groups work together in 2020. The budget will be released in 2 parts across eachSemester and Interflugs maintains its role as ASV Commission and its responsiblity for dispersingthese funds through the different Initiatives and Projects supported through the Interflugs office.
The budget is being released on the condition that the Student Parliament and Interflugs are able tosupport one another, communicate and co-operate going forward. We look forward to workingtogether in this way in the coming months. Offers for mediation regarding any cultural differencesbetween the student groups was a proposal we are also happy to accept in case negotiations stall ordisintegrate.
Our proposal that Interflugs must remain autonomous to self-determine its own guidelines andprotocols, but that this shall be presented to the Student Parliament was supported by everyone presentat the meeting, including Student Parliament representatives, International Office representatives, andInterflugs members. This will be discussed at the next Student Parliament meeting and we will sharethe dates of when we present the Interflugs Office working papers for students to contribute andprovide feedback.
The meeting was also emotional as Norbert Palz made connections between the fragility of artsinstitutional structures to fascism in the guise of policy and bureaucracy and the need to protectprojects that have been created from the ground up. These ideas echo sentiment from students at theVollversammlung in December.
We will keep you updated as to when we open the call for Project Funding as soon as possible. As fornow, we have recently announced we are looking for more interflugs members until 22.03.2020 (pleasecheck our post for more details regarding the position).
best wishes,Erfan, Mouna, Salma, Ilgaz, Imogen, Dalis, Kristen, Bilge, Lucia,Interflugs 2020
