The workshop took place as a part of Interflugs workshop series ‘Tools for Autonomy’. In this workshop, we experimented with photo transfer techniques, using personal photographs and digital designs to transform them into tactile artworks.
Using this analog process, we took images out of their original context, re-anchoring them with new meanings, unlocking different narratives, and provoking new associations, thoughts, and feelings.
Roma shared her approach to using mixed media to translate our inner, dreamlike worlds by collaging archival imagery that resonated with us. Our personal narratives, histories, and perspectives were embodied and transferred into textures.
