WILD LIGHT: DIY workshop on working with light

[:en]Interflugs presents a workshop on DIY lighting practice with lighting designer & cinematographer Imogen Heath – co-founder of queer film collective nowMomentnow & member of LaborBerlin, the analogue film collective.

Working hands-on with the lighting equipment available at Interflugs, we will experiment with direct light, reflected light, diffused light, coloured light and equip ourselves to get the most out of each lighting source.

What does it mean to measure light?  —  How can we use everyday objects to problem-solve with light? —  We will talk about different approaches to lighting design and how these might change on various projects — can we work with light to be political/feminist/queer? — what is radical light? —  can we begin to imagine beyond the limitations of a homogeneous aesthetic in lighting?

All levels of light knowledge welcome.

The workshop is for free, but the number of participants is limited, so please register at:

The workshop will take place at Hardenbergstr 33 Room 9 // On Friday (13.10.2017) Time: 11:00-17:00
